Age is just a number in martial arts

Krav Maga, Muay Thai Kickboxing, BJJ, Kali Silat and MMA are all ageless. How many times have we heard, “I’m too old for this…?” Here and now understand, I did not start Krav Maga in my teens or late 20’s for that matter. Training in the martial arts is a decision made at any point in a person’s life. I and many of my colleagues made the decision to be a full time martial artist because we are motivated by the success of others. Success comes in varying forms and at different stages in a person’s life.

At Elite Training Center we’ve see small children develop into amazing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu players. We’ve seen teen agers develop into well rounded MMA fighters, eventually becoming professionals. We’ve also seen men and women in their 60’s undertaking brutal 6 hour Krav Maga and Muay Thai promotions and coming out with a new found drive, a true sense of accomplishment.

Where is it written that age limits us from accomplishing great things? We are all capable! Keep asking yourself, “what can I do today that will top what I did yesterday?” It doesn’t matter how old you are. Great things are waiting for you to achieve them. 6 or 60, go do something great!
