Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Belt Ranking in Redondo Beach

On Friday January 24, 2014 several students at Elite Training Center in Redondo Beach were promoted in Jiu-Jitsu. These students were assessed on their application and understanding of how to use jiu-jitsu for self-defense on the ground and in stand-up aggression. Positions explored were from the standing on-guard position, the clinch(es), Takedowns, the mount position, guard and side control. Students were further assessed on submission attacks and defense for all the ground positions listed above from the bottom situation. To me it is also nice to see how the students are going to perform when punches and position changes are happening during the testing.
