Clarity in Martial Arts Training

Clarity in Martial Arts Training

Clarity in martial arts training is obviously important. Whether training in the myriad of Elite Training Center‘s systems, Krav Maga, Muay Thai Kickboxing, MMA, BJJ and Kali clarity is king.

Clarity in communication applies in every area of our lives. Our relationships with our loved ones thrive when we are clear and honest. Without it, our relationships suffer and often times lead to deceit. Being clear while training can and should be applied in every avenue we pursue. Not only does it keep us safe while we train, it also helps the learning process occur more smoothly.

Our business relationships suffer without clear communications as well. Without truly understanding perspective of everyone involved in any communicative ensemble there is often a breakdown resulting in an outcome not in anyone’s best interest. Elite Training Center strives to be clear and open about our policies and maintains an open door policy for every member.

Like many issues we are confronted with, clarity within communication is essential. As a martial artist it is key to understanding everything. A student and instructor must be crystal clear as to what information they are trying to communicate. If an instructor rushes or speeds through a technique, it is often at the expense of the student. Some people learn differently, some slower and others at a rapid rate. Some can take information and apply it immediately. Others, such as myself must spend more time applying a technique in order to be successful.

A student must be able to relay a question as it pertains to what is being studied. Ego and/or lack of  knowledge must be considered and accepted. A teacher must be able to see through the eyes of the student. Listen as intently as you did the first time and train with one another with clear minds.
