Glory kickboxing

I was given the recent unexpected but much appreciated chance to attend the Glory kickboxing tournament at the Forum and was excited to attend. After the vacancy left in international kickboxing promotions by the fledgling K1, Glory seems to have filled the void quite well and I had a blast alongside fellow instructor Tommy as we watched Muay Thai and kickboxing of the highest caliber being displayed.

We watched some of our heroes of stand up artistry, such as Mirko cro cop and Daniel Ghita for the first time, and their technique and power in person was as impressive as always. The highlight of the Glory kickboxing night was watching hometown hero Joe Schilling make a run at the $200,000 on the line in the night’s eight man tournament. Imagine fighting 3 times in one night!  The heart and pride displayed was intense and brought us all to our feet. No spoilers here but if you get a chance check Glory kickboxing out, and if you can attend a Muay Thai show in person please do so. It just lights the fire to get into Elite Training Center and train that much harder.
