Staying Motivated to Train-martial arts classes in redondo beach
Staying motivated to train in Krav Maga, Muay Thai Kickboxing, MMA, Kali, or BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) around the holidays can seem challenging. It doesn’t have to be. When we think about the things we know are beneficial to us, we often make time. However, sometimes we don’t like to take the more difficult paths regardless of the positive outcome we know exists. Sometimes time can and should be made for others.
There are so many things we can and should be thankful for. At Elite Training Center (Redondo Beach, CA and soon Hermosa Beach, CA) we encourage students to recognize how truly fortunate life is. Sure, there are unfortunate events that can occur, and in no way are we taking anything away from that experience. Now as the world continues to shrink and mass/social media highlights much of what is happening throughout the planet, the tragedy in the Philippines comes to mind. Soldiers fighting overseas come to mind. People starving around the planet come to mind. Incurable illnesses come to mind.
As Thanksgiving and the winter Holidays approach, it is important to take a few moments to reflect on how grand life is and can be. In the upcoming weeks take some time out and support a worthy cause. Support a cause that brings relief to those less fortunate. Support a cause that brings you happiness because you have just helped someone. Yes, it still counts even if you get joy from it. Volunteer your time to help someone or somewhere.
Elite Training Center will be conducting a Toy Drive with LA Fire. Elite Training Center‘s Leadership Program will also be conducting a food drive. More causes and opportunities to do more will be coming up soon. We at Elite appreciate everything that our students do for the school, but appreciate more what is done outside of the school in pursuit of the greater good.
